Description | CD63 Antibody, anti-human, Biotin. Clone H5C6 recognizes CD63, a type III glycoprotein. CD63 belongs to the tetraspanin family of proteins, which are characterized by four membrane spanning domains. Tetraspanins via various homotypic and heterotypic interactions regulate the spatial location and trafficking of associated transmembrane partners, eventually regulating and co-ordinating various signaling pathways. CD63, like other tetraspanins, is present in the plasma membrane and membrane of various subcellular compartments such as late endosomes, lysososmes, cytotoxic granules of T lymphocytes, the crystalloid granules of eosinophils, the secretory granules of basophils and mast cells. Interaction partners of CD63 include MHC class II molecules in immature dendritic cells and B lymphocytes, FcεRI in basophils and mast cells, etc. |
