Description | STAT5a Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA549 recognizes the human STAT5a antigen, a member of signal transducers and activators of the transcription (STAT) family. The seven STAT family members play a critical role in activation of signaling pathways in response to the presence of various cytokines and growth factors (interferon (IFN)-α, IFN-γ, EGF, PDGF, and interleukin (IL)-6). STAT5a regulates the expression of milk proteins during lactation and mediates cellular responses to the receptor tyrosine-protein kinase ERBB4. It may induce cellular responses to activated FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3, and FGFR4. Among others STAT5a is expressed in prostate and breast cancer. | Additional information: Clone REA549 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
