Description | QA-1B Antibody, anti-mouse, Biotin. Clone 6A8.6F10.1A6 recognizes murine QA-1B, a 48 kDa non-classical MHC class Ib molecule encoded by the H2-T23 gene on chromosome 17. QA-1 associates with β2-microglobulin and its surface expression is found on activated hematopoietic cells, T cells, dendritic cells (DCs), macrophages, and neurons. Murine QA-1 presents a nine amino acid peptide called QA-1 determinant modifier (Qdm), peptides from proteins associated with infectious or inflammatory response, and a heat shock protein 60 (HSP60)-derived peptide (in the absence of Qdm) to immunoregulatory CD8+ T cells. QA-1B also serves as a ligand for C-type lectin CD94/NKG2 receptors and depending on the NKG2 family member involved, this interaction can result in an inhibitory or an activating signal. |
