DescriptionTCL1 Antibody, anti-human, FITC, REAfinity™. Clone REA289 recognizes the T cell leukemia/lymphoma protein, a 14 kDa symmetrical b-barrel structure protein also known as oncogene TCL-1 or protein p14 TCL1. The TCL1 locus on chromosome 14q32.1 is frequently involved in chromosomal translocations and inversions with one of the T cell receptor loci in human T cell leukemias and lymphomas. In the lymphoid compartment, TCL1 expression is limited to CD4-CD8-CD3- thymocytes, CD34+CD19+ pro-B cell through IgM-negative pre-B cells, as well as plasmacytoid subset of dendritic cells. The members of the TCL1 proto-oncogene family (TCL1, MTCP1, and TCL1b) bind to Akt1, increasing its phosphorylation status and kinase activity. Further, TCL1 is able to promote the formation of oligomeric TCL1-Akt protein complexes in which the kinase is preferentially phosphorylated and activated. | Additional information: Clone REA289 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
