Description | CD228 Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA717 recognizes the human CD228 antigen, a cell-surface sialoglycoprotein also known as MFI2 or melanotransferrin. CD228 is mainly found in human melanomas, but also in liver, epithelium, and in certain fetal tissues. It plays a role in iron cellular uptake. CD228 is internalized before being recycled back to the cell membrane and is also able to bind zinc. | Additional information: Clone REA717 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
