Description | CD148 Antibody, anti-human, Biotin, REAfinity™. Clone REA204 recognizes CD148, a receptor type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) belonging to the type III family of PTPs. CD148 is characterized by an extracellular domain with eight fibronectin type III repeats, a trans-membrane region, and a single cytosolic catalytic domain. Expression of CD148 is found on mature thymocytes, peripheral T cells, B cells, NK cells, granulocytes, macrophages, DC subpopulations, epithelial and endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. An upregulated expression of CD148 on human peripheral T cells is observed upon TCR stimulation. CD148 via regulating the phosphorylation status of substrates such as PDGFR, p120 catenin (CTND1), and SRC kinase, plays vital role in many cellular functions. | Additional information: Clone REA204 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |
