DescriptionCD344 (Frizzled-4) Antibody, anti-human, PE-Vio® 770, REAfinity™. Clone REA1096 recognizes an extracellular epitope of the human CD344 antigen, a multi-pass membrane protein which is also known as Frizzled family receptor 4 (FZD4) or Frizzled-4. CD344 is expressed by neuronal stem cells and also found on fetal neuronal progenitor cells and neuronal intestinal cells. It is a member of the Frizzled family of proteins which encode seven-transmembrane domain proteins that are receptors for the Wingless type MMTV integration site family of signaling proteins. CD344 is involved in the activation of Wnt/β-catenin pathway (canonic Wnt signaling). It is the only representative of frizzled family members that binds strongly an additional ligand Norrin that is functionally similar but structurally different from Wingless type proteins. CD344 signaling induced by Norrin regulates vascular development of vertebrate retina and controls important blood vessels in the ear. | Additional information: Clone REA1096 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
