Description | VGLUT2 Antibody, anti-human/mouse/rat, FITC, REAfinity™. Clone REA1144 recognizes the human, mouse and rat VGLUT2, a glutamate transporter, also known as DNPI, Vimentin-Glut2 or SLC17A6. Glutamate transporters belong to a family of neurotransmitter transporter proteins which consists of two classes, EAAT (excitatory amino acid transportesr) and VGLUT (vesicular glutamate transporters). VGLUTs are located in the membrane of glutamate-containing synaptic vesicles and regulate the uptake of glutamate into synaptic vesicles at presynaptic nerve terminals of excitatory neural cells. | Additional information: Clone REA1144 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
