Description | Calreticulin Antibody, anti-human, APC, REAdye_lease™. Clone REAL1234 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Calreticulin antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL1234 recognizes Calreticulin, also known as calregulin, CRP55, a Calcium-binding chaperone that promotes folding, oligomeric assembly and quality control in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) via the calreticulin/calnexin cycle. Calreticulin has been a multifunctional role as it appears to be involved in calcium storage and regulation as well as having a molecular chaperone activity. Studies also suggest its involvement in certain autoimmune diseases. Calreticulin is considered to promotes phagocytic uptake of cancer cells by immune system and manipulation of calreticulin levels profoundly affects cancer cell proliferation and angiogenesis as well as differentiation.
