Description | TNF-β Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA1169 recognizes the human TNF-β antigen, a cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factors (TNF) family. TNF-β is also known as lymphotoxin-a and is produced by activated lymphocytes, for example CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and some B lymphoblastoid cell lines. TNF-β and TNF-α, which have similar biological activities and same receptors, are able to inhibit tumor growth. TNF-β induces the synthesis of GM-CSF, G-CSF, interleukin 1 (IL-1), collagenase, and is a mitogen for B-lymphocytes. | Additional information: Clone REA1169 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
