Description | CD121b (IL-1R2) Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA744 recognizes the human CD121b antigen, also known as interleukin-1 receptor type II (IL-1R2). CD121b is a 60 kDa cytokine receptor, which is a ligand for interleukin-1 (IL-1). There are two forms of the IL-1 receptors. The type I receptor is mainly involved in transmitting the inflammatory effects of IL-1 while type II receptor plays a role as a suppressor of IL-1 activity by competing for IL-1 binding. | Additional information: Clone REA744 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
