Description | CD1a Antibody, anti-human, Biotin, REAfinity™. Clone REA736 recognizes the human CD1a antigen, a 40 kDa type I membrane glycoprotein, also known as T6 or Leu-6, which is a member of the immunglobulin superfamily. It shares functional and structural similarities with MHC I class molecules and is associated with β2-microglobulin. CD1a plays a role in antigen presentation by binding lipid and glycolipid antigens and presenting them to T cell receptors on natural killer T cells. CD1a is expressed on Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, and cortical thymocytes. | Additional information: Clone REA736 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors |
