Description | TTF-1 Antibody, anti-human/mouse, APC, REAfinity™. TTF-1 (thyroid transcripton factor-1, NKX2.1) is a homeodomain-containing transcription factor. It controls cell differentiation of telencephalic cells and is essential for proper ventral forebrain development. Furthermore, it is a key factor in the morphogenesis and differentiation of the thyroid and lung. TTF-1 is detected in primary lung adenocarcinomas and small cell carcinomas and is absent in colon and breast carcinomas. Analysis of TTF-1 expression is useful in differentiating primary adenocarcinoma of the lung from metastatic carcinomas originating from other tumors. | Additional information: Clone REA1090 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
