Description | CCL3 (MIP-1α) Antibody, anti-mouse, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA355 recognizes the mouse C-C motif chemokine 3 (CCL3) antigen also known as Macrophage inflammatory protein 1 α (MIP-1a). CCL3 is a cytokine belonging to the members of the β (CC) subfamily of chemokines. It is produced by T cells, B cells, Langerhans cells, neutrophils and macrophages. CCL3 is involved in activation and recruitment of lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes during acute inflammation and plays a role as a chemoattractant of monocytes, B cells, eosinophils and cytotoxic T cells. It has been identified as a stem cell inhibitory factor that can inhibit the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells in vitro as well as in vivo. The functional receptor for CCL3 has been identified as CCR1 and CCR5. CCL3 deficient mice showed increased resistance to viral-induced mortality following infection with HSV-1. | Additional information: Clone REA355 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
