Description | Myosin Smooth Muscle Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA1107 recognizes both isoforms of the Myosin Smooth Muscle heavy chain (MHC-1 and MHC-2). Myosin Smooth Muscle is cytoplasmic structural protein, which is a major component of the contractile apparatus in smooth muscle cells. REA1107 recognizes visceral and vascular smooth muscle cells, but also myoepithelial cells. It is a marker for distingushing between benign sclerosing breast lesions (positive) and infiltrating carcinomas (negative). | Additional information: Clone REA1107 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
