DescriptionZAP70 pY292 Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA411 recognizes the human Zeta-chain-associated protein kinase 70 (ZAP70) antigen phosphorylated at tyrosine 292 (pY292). ZAP70 plays an essential role in regulation of the adaptive immune response. It is normally expressed near the surface membrane of T cells and natural killer cells. ZAP70 associates with the ζ subunit of the T cell antigen receptor, and plays a critical role in T cell-signaling. It regulates both T cell-activation switch on and switch off by modulating TCR expression at the T cell surface. During thymocyte development, ZAP70 promotes survival and cell-cycle progression of developing thymocytes before positive selection. Additionally, the ZAP70-dependent signaling pathway may also contribute to primary B cells formation and activation through the B cell receptor. Recruitment and activation of ZAP70 are transient and are terminated by phosphorylation of negative regulatory tyrosine residues and dephosphorylation of positively acting sites. In vivo analyses suggest that phosphorylation of residue Y292 plays a role in attenuation of TCR signaling. | Additional information: Clone REA411 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
