DescriptionCD142 Antibody, anti-human, Vio® Bright V423, REAfinity™. Clone REA949 recognizes the human CD142 antigen, a 45 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as tissue factor (TF). It functions as the high-affinity receptor for the coagulation factor VII and enables cells to initiate the blood coagulation cascades. It is reported, that the tissue factor exists in a membrane-bound and in a soluble form. It is expressed on activated endothelial cells and on monocytes, macrophages, and platelets, which are stimulated with inflammatory mediators such as LPS or tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα). CD142 is also present on some tumor cells such as lung, breast, pancreatic, and colon, as well as on non-immune-tissues. | Additional information: Clone REA949 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors
