Description | CD140a Antibody, anti-mouse, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA637 recognizes the mouse CD140a antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein, also known as platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRα). CD140a is a receptor tyrosine kinase that forms homodimers or heterodimers with CD140b (PDGFRβ). Receptor dimerization and transphosphorylation at tyrosine residues activates the intracellular kinase activity. CD140a is broadly expressed in embryonic tissue, mostly in cells of mesodermal origin in adult tissue, and embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyogenic cells. Expression of CD140a is associated with various malignancies. | Additional information: Clone REA637 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
