DescriptionGAD65 Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAdye_lease™. Clone REAL1083 is an antibody fragment derived from the full GAD65 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL1083 recognizes the GAD65 enzyme, also known as Glutamate decarboxylase 2, and belongs to the group II decarboxylase family. GAD65 catalyzes the production of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) from L-glutamic acid for neurotransmission. GAD65 has been identified as an autoantigen and an autoreactive T cell target in insulin-dependent diabetes. The GAD65 gene may also play a role in the stiff person syndrome, Type 1 diabetes (T1D), cerebellar ataxia and other neurological disorders. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675). |
