Description | Melanocyte PMEL Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAfinity™. Clone REA927 recognizes the human Melanocyte PMEL antigen (Melanocyte premelanosome protein), which is located in fetal and neonatal melanocytes and junctional nevi. Melanocyte PMEL is a marker for melanocytic tumors such as melanomas, it is not expressed in normal tissues nor in carcinomas. Melanosome, also known as Melanocyte protein Pmel 17, plays an essential role in the biogenesis of melanosomes and maturation of melanosomes. | Additional Information: Clone REA927 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
