Description | S100A9 Antibody, anti-human, PE, REAdye_lease™. Clone REAL642 is an antibody fragment derived from the full S100A9 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL642 recognizes the human S100A9 calcium- and zinc-binding protein, a S100 family member, which is also known as MRP14 (migration inhibitory factor-related protein 14) or calgranulin B. S100A9 is expressed in a wide range of cells but it is predominantly expressed in myeloid cells. S100A9 plays a crucial role in the regulation of inflammatory processes and immune response. S100A8 and S100A9 form the heterodimer calprotectin, that has proinflammatory, antimicrobial, apoptosis-inducing activities and different intracellular functions, for example facilitating leukocyte arachidonic acid trafficking and metabolism, modulation of the tubulin-dependent cytoskeleton during migration of phagocytes and activation of the NADPH-oxidase. | For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675). |
