| Description | This VAMP3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 15-43 amino acids from the Central region of human VAMP3. Synaptobrevins/VAMPs, syntaxins, and the 25-kDsynaptosomal-associated protein are the main components of aprotein complex involved in the docking and/or fusion of synapticvesicles with the presynaptic membrane. This gene is a member ofthe vesicle-associated membrane protein (VAMP)/synaptobrevinfamily. Because of its high homology to other known VAMPs, itsbroad tissue distribution, and its subcellular localization, theprotein encoded by this gene was shown to be the human equivalentof the rodent cellubrevin.
