| Description | Recognizes human Glypican 3. Does not recognize rhGlypican-2 rhGlypican-5, or rhGlypican-6. Glypicans are GPI-anchored heparan sulfate proteoglycans that include a large globular cysteine-rich domain with 14 invariant cysteine residues, a stalk-like region containing the heparan sulfate attachment sites, and a C-terminal GPI attachment site. Glypicans are thought to function as low-affinity binding proteins that retain signaling molecules (cytokines, growth factors, proteases) at the cell surface. Glypicans are widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues. |
