| Description | Specificity: Anti-IRAK-2 (C1) [Rabbit antibody to peptide corresponding to aa 571-590 of human IRAK2.]. This antibody recognizes human IRAK2 (65 kD). No cross-reactivity with IRAK. The pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1 induces cellular responses through two subunits of its receptor, IL-1 receptor 1 (IL-1R1) and IL-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RacP). IL-1 receptorassociated kinase (IRAK) mediates activation of NF- kappa B, a key transcription factor that mediates inflammatory and immune respones. A novel member of the IRAK/Pelle family was recently identified and designated IRAK2.
