| Description | Rabbit anti Human CD286 antibody recognizes human CD286, also known as Toll-like receptor 6 (TLR6), a member of the evolutionarily conserved toll-like receptor family (TLRs) and close homologue of CD281 (TLR1), that is expressed by monocytes, CD11c+ immature dendritic cells and endothelial cells of skin microvessels. TLRs play an important role in the recognition of invading microbial pathogens during innate immunity, acting through adaptor molecules such as MyD88 and TRAF6. CD286 acts via a cytokine signaling pathway to induce the activation of NF-kappaB, through the formation of dimers with CD282 (TLR2) which coordinate macrophage activation by Gram-positive bacteria and zymosan. CD286/CD282 dimers are also involved in apoptotic responses |
