| Description | CCR5, also known as CD195, is a seven transmembrane chemokine receptor capable of binding RANTES, MIP1alpha and MIP1beta. Knockout mice show a decreased recruitment of macrophages and increased susceptibility to infection. Protein and mRNA has been found in macrophages from thioglycolate treated and activated T cells. |
