| Description | Specificity: Human HNF4G. BLAST analysis of the peptide immunogen showed no homology with other human proteins, except HNF4A (63%). Hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 gamma (HNF4 gamma) is a NR2 Hepatocyte NF4-Like receptor of relatively unknown function. Although HNF4 gamma is structurally related to HNF4 alpha and is expressed together with HNF 4 Alpha in pancreatic islets, it does not play a major role in the etiology of early onset, autosomal dominant, non insulin-dependent type 2 diabetes or maturity-onset diabetes of the young, MODY1. |
