| Description | The antibody is a polyclonal antibody made to the metalloproteinase ADAMTS-1. The antibody is made to a synthetic peptide based on the aminoterminal end of furin cleaved human ADAMTS-1, after the second furin cleave site. The antibody has been peptide-affinity purified, concentrated to 1.0 mg/ml, with the addition of 0.05% Sodium Azide as preservative, and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. ADAMTS-1, also known as METH-1, was first described as a protein elevated in invasive mouse tumors. Initial observations indicated a role for ADAMTS-1 in tumor progression, since the protein was preferentially expressed in more invasive tumor cell lines.
