| Description | The sequence-specific transcription factor activator protein 2a (AP-2a) is required for normal growth and morphogenesis during mammalian development. This includes development of the Neural Crest. Decreased or loss of AP-2a expression has been observed in many different types of human cancers including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, melanoma and prostate cancer. |
