| Description | This item recognises human beta-site APP-cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1), a 70kD aspartic protease. BACE1 is involved in the cleavage of the amyloid precursor protein (APP) to generate amyloid beta peptide. Cerebral deposition of amyloid beta peptide is an early feature of Alzheimer's disease. MBS222470 recognises human beta-site APP-cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1), a 70kD aspartic protease. BACE1 is involved in the cleavage of the amyloid precursor protein (APP) to generate amyloid beta peptide. Cerebral deposition of amyloid beta peptide is an early feature of Alzheimer's disease. |
