| Description | Rabbit anti STAT2 antibody recognizes signal transducer and activator of transcription 2 (STAT2), a member of the STAT protein family, which plays an important role in cell growth, survival differentiation and transformation, transducing signals from cytokine receptors to the nucleus. STAT2 is tyrosine phosphorylated by members of the Janus kinase family in response to cytokines and growth factor stimulation. Phosphorylation results in STAT activation and the formation of STAT2 homo- or STAT2/STAT1 heterodimers. STAT dimers translocate from the cytoplasm to the nucleus where they act as transcription factors.
