Description | This RET Monoclonal antibody was raised using purified His-tagged recombinant human RET. This gene, a member of the cadherin superfamily, encodesone of the receptor tyrosine kinases, which are cell-surfacemolecules that transduce signals for cell growth anddifferentiation. This gene plays a crucial role in neural crestdevelopment, and it can undergo oncogenic activation in vivo and invitro by cytogenetic rearrangement. Mutations in this gene areassociated with the disorders multiple endocrine neoplasia, typeIIA, multiple endocrine neoplasia, type IIB, Hirschsprung disease, and medullary thyroid carcinoma. Two transcript variants encodingdifferent isoforms have been found for this gene. Additionaltransc |
