| Description | Specificity: Anti-IRAK-M BP [Rabbit antibody to peptide corresponding to aa 581-596 of human IRAK-M.]. This antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat IRAK-M (68 kD). No cross-reactivity with IRAK or IRAK2. Interleukin-1 (IL-1) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induce cellular responses through IL-1 receptor nad Toll-like receptors. IL-1 receptorassociated kinases (IRAK and IRAK2) mediate the activation of NF- kappa B by IL-1/Toll receptors, a key step in inflammatory and immune responses. A novel member of the IRAK family, IRAKM, is a dominant negative mutant of IRAK and inhibits IL-1 or LPS induced NF- kappa B activation. |
