Description | Specificity: Tyrosine Hydroxylase antibody (Ser40) detects endogenous levels of TyrosineHydroxylase only when phosphorylated at serine 40. Tyrosine Hydroxylase is the rate-limiting enzyme of catecholamine biosynthesis; it uses tetrahydrobiopterin and molecular oxygen to convert tyrosine to DOPA. Its amino terminal 150 amino acids comprise a domain whose structure is involved in regulating the enzyme's activity. |
Immunogen | Immunogen: Tyrosine Hydroxylase antibody was raised in Rabbit using a synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human Tyrosine Hydroxylase around the phosphorylation site of serine 40(R-Q-SP-L-I) as the immunogen. |
