Description | This SSRP1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 490-518 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human SSRP1. The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of aheterodimer that, along with SUPT16H, forms chromatintranscriptional elongation factor FACT. FACT interacts specificallywith histones H2A/H2B to effect nucleosome disassembly andtranscription elongation. FACT and cisplatin-damaged DNA may becrucial to the anticancer mechanism of cisplatin. This encodedprotein contains a high mobility group box which most likelyconstitutes the structure recognition element forcisplatin-modified DNA. This protein also functions as aco-activator of the transcrip |
