Description | Specificity: CENPC1 antibody detects endogenous levels of total CENPC1. Function: Component of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated) complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. CENPC recruits DNA methylation and DNMT3B to both centromeric and pericentromeric satellite repeats and regulates the histone code in these regions.Subunit Structure: Oligomer. Component of the CENPA-NAC complex, at least composed of CENPA, CENPC, CENPH, CENPM, CENPN, CENPT and CENPU (PubMed:16622419). The CENPA-NAC complex in |
Immunogen | Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human CENPC1 Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Chromosome > Centromere > Kinetochore. Localizes exclusively in the kinetochore domain of centromeres. Tissue Specificity: Expression varies across the cell cycle, with high levels in G2 phase (at the mRNA level). Predicted Cross Reactivity: Pig, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog Similarity: Pig (100%), Horse (83%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (92%), Dog (100%) |
