Description | Specificity: Rat, human-identical. The g subunit protein is an auxiliary subunit of the CaV (voltage dependent calcium) channel multimer complex. g1 was first identified in skeletal muscle as a part of the proteins complex purified as the DHP receptor. Eight g subunit isoforms were identified in mammalian genoms and they share some sequence as well as structure homology.1 g subunit contains four transmembrane helixes, with intracellular N and C termini. Usually their association with the pore-forming a1 subunit results in reduced current amplitude. g2 is expressed in brain (where it is belived to interact also with AMPA receptors).1 Alomone Labs offers a polyclonal antibody directed against an intracellular epitope at the C-terminus of the |
