| Description | Rabbit anti RAC1 (pSer71) antibody recognizes RAC1, also known as ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1, cell migration-inducing gene 5 protein, ras-like protein TC25 or p21-Rac1, when phosphorylated at serine 71. RAC1 is a member of the small Rho GTPase family that plays a role in numerous cell processes including cell migration, cell polarization, apoptosis and gene expression. RAC1 cycles between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state. RAC1 is phosphorylated at serine 71 by Akt. Phosphorylation at serine 71 modulates RAC1 signaling by directing interaction with specific signaling pathways (Schwarz et al. 2012). |
