| Description | This TNFSF4 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 102-131 amino acids from the Central region of human TNFSF4. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine thatbelongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. Thiscytokine is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF4/OX4. It is found to beinvolved in T cell antigen-presenting cell (APC) interactions. Insurface Ig- and CD40-stimulated B cells, this cytokine along withCD70 has been shown to provide CD28-independent costimulatorysignals to T cells. This protein and its receptor are reported todirectly mediate adhesion of activated T cells to vascularendothelial cells. |
