| Description | Specificity: AQP10 antibody detects endogenous levels of total AQP10. Function: Water channel required to promote glycerol permeability and water transport across cell membranes. May contribute to water transport in the upper portion of small intestine. Isoform 2 is not permeable to urea and glycerol.Similarity: Aquaporins contain two tandem repeats each containing three membrane-spanning domains and a pore-forming loop with the signature motif Asn-Pro-Ala (NPA). Belongs to the MIP/aquaporin (TC 1.A.8) family. |
