| Description | Rabbit anti NFkB p100 (pSer870) antibody recognizes nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p100 subunit (NFkB p100), also known as lymphocyte translocation chromosome 10 protein, nuclear factor Kappa-B subunit 2, nuclear factor of Kappa light chain gene enhancer in B cells 2, oncogene Lyt-10 or transcription factor NFKB2, when phosphorylated at serine 870. NFkB p100 is a subunit of the NFkB transcription factor complex that is cleaved to form the NFkB p52 subunit. The NFkB pathway plays a critical role in mediating immune responses after infection and has been implicated in a variety of diseases ranging from autoimmune disorders to cancer. Phosphorylation of NFkB p100 at serine 870 is mediated by MAP3K14 (Xiao et al. 2001). |
