| Description | Specificity: Full-length recombinant human caspase-3 protein was used as immunogen. The antibody recognizes an epitope in the large domain subunit of Caspase-3. As such it will recognize pro Caspase-3 and the large subunit cleavage fragment. Caspase 3 is synthesized as an inactive proenzyme that undergoes proteolytic cleavage to produce 2 subunits, termed p20 and p11. These subunits dimerize to form the active enzyme. Caspase 3 proteolytically cleaves and activates other proteins. Caspase 3 has been associated with apoptosis. |
