Description | Specificity: Phospho-Ataxin 1 (Ser775) antibody detects endogenous levels of Ataxin 1 only when phosphorylated at Serine 775. Description: Ataxin-1 is a spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 (SCA1) protein. Expansion of CAG repeats in the SCA1 gene results in an abnormally long polyglutamine tract in the protein, causing polyglutamine-induced neurodegeneration.Function: Chromatin-binding factor that repress Notch signaling in the absence of Notch intracellular domain by acting as a CBF1 corepressor. Binds to the HEY promoter and might assist, along with NCOR2, RBPJ-mediated repression. Binds RNA in vitro. May be involved in RNA metabolism (PubMed:21475249). In concert with CIC and ATXN1L, involved in brain development (By similarity).Subuni |
Immunogen | Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human Ataxin 1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 775 Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Colocalizes with USP7 in the nucleus. Tissue Specificity: Widely expressed throughout the body. Predicted Cross Reactivity: Pig, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken Similarity: Pig (100%), Bovine (89%), Horse (89%), Sheep (89%), Rabbit (89%), Dog (89%), Chicken (100%) |
