| Description | This HLA-C antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 66-93 amino acids from the Central region of human HLA-C. HLA-C belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues.This class I molecule is a heterodimer consisting of a heavy chainand a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain isanchored in the membrane. Class I molecules play a central role inthe immune system by presenting peptides derived from endoplasmicreticulum lumen. They are expressed in nearly all cells. The heavychain is approximately 45 kDa and its gene contains 8 exons.
