| Description | Specificity: Human CCKAR. BLAST analysis of the peptide immunogen showed no homology with other human proteins. Cholecystokinin A receptor, a Cholecystokinin Receptor, binds sulfated CCK, particularly CCK8. The CCKA receptor mediates gallbladder contraction, gastric emptying, relaxation of the sphincter of Oddi, and insulin secretion. It is also involved in pancreatic growth, enzyme secretion, and tumorigenesis. |
