Description | Specificity: HXK1 antibody detects endogenous levels of total HXK1. Function: In vertebrates there are four major glucose-phosphorylating isoenzymes, designated hexokinase I, II, III and IV (glucokinase).Subunit Structure: Monomer. Interacts with RABL2/RABL2A; binds preferentially to GTP-bound RABL2 (By similarity). Interacts with VDAC1. The HK1-VDAC1 complex interacts with ATF2. Interacts (via N-terminal spermatogenic cell-specific region) with PFKM (via C-terminus) (By similarity).Similarity: The N-and C-terminal halves of this hexokinase show extensive sequence similarity to each other. The catalytic activity is associated with the C-terminus while regulatory function is associated with the N-terminus. Each domain can bind a sing |
Immunogen | Immunogen: A synthesized peptide Subcellular Location: Mitochondrion Outer Membrane. Its hydrophobic N-terminal sequence may be involved in membrane binding. Tissue Specificity: Isoform 2 is erythrocyte specific. Isoform 3 and isoform 4 are testis-specific. Predicted Cross Reactivity: Pig, Zebrafish, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken, Xenopus Similarity: Pig (100%), Zebrafish (100%), Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%), Chicken (100%), Xenopus (91%) |
