Description | Specificity: ACSS1 antibody detects endogenous levels of total ACSS1. Function: Important for maintaining normal body temperature during fasting and for energy homeostasis. Essential for energy expenditure under ketogenic conditions (By similarity). Converts acetate to acetyl-CoA so that it can be used for oxidation through the tricarboxylic cycle to produce ATP and CO2.Subunit Structure: Interacts with SIRT3.Post-translational Modifications: Reversibly acetylated on Lys-642. The acetyl-CoA synthase activity is inhibited by acetylation and activated by deacetylation.Similarity: Belongs to the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme family. |
Immunogen | Immunogen: A synthesized peptide Subcellular Location: Mitochondrion Matrix. Predicted Cross Reactivity: Pig, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken Similarity: Pig (100%), Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%), Chicken (89%) |
