| Description | Netrin receptor DCC is encoded by the DCC gene, which spans approximately 1.4 Mb[1] and maps to 18q21.3, [2] is a transmembrane protein of the immunoglobulin superfamily, is expressed on spinal commissural axons and possesses netrin-1-binding activity. [3] Krimpenfort et al. (2012) concluded that the function of DCC as a context-dependent tumor suppressor that limits survival of disseminated tumor cells. [4] |
