| Description | Specificity: 16 amino acid peptide from near the carboxy terminus of human Beclin-1. Beclin 1 is a coiled coil protein that interacts with prototypic cellular antiapoptotic gene Bcl2. Beclin 1 is widely expressed with highest levels reported in skeletal muscle. Three alternativaly spliced isoforms have been identified. Allelic deletion of beclin 1 results in a wide variety of cancers including breast cancer. |
