Description | Specificity: Histone H2A.X antibody (Ser139) detects endogenous levels of Histone H2AX only when phosphorylated at serine 139. Histone H2A.X is a histone that replaces conventional H2A in a subset of nucleosomes. Required for checkpoint-mediated arrest of cell cycle progression in response to low doses of ionizing radiation and for efficient repair of DNA double strand breaks (DSBs) specifically when modified by C-terminal phosphorylation. |
Immunogen | Immunogen: Histone H2A.X antibody was raised in Rabbit using a synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human Histone H2AX around the phosphorylation site of serine 139 (Q-A-SP-Q-E) as the immunogen. |
